The battle of Bosworth

There was another frost on Monday morning and we cruised to Stoke Golding and took on 160 litres of diesel – about half a tank.  We want to keep topped up with supplies in case we get iced in anywhere.

It was yet another sunny day but a lot colder as there was a bitter wind.

After lunch it clouded over so we stayed moored up in the Bosworth area and went for a walk. Apparently latest research shows that Richard and Henry’s armies were assembled in settlements other than Bosworth so we walked to one of the ‘new’ battlefield villages – Dadlington.  As with a lot of villages round here it was built at the top of a rise and it was strange looking down across the fields and seeing our boat at the bottom.
